Summer holidays: how to prepare your home before leaving for vacation

Summer is synonymous with holidays. Setting off for unknown or family destinations and disconnect from the many commitments of everyday life. A few tips will help you set your mind at ease so you can fully enjoy your holiday without worrying about a troublesome return. Want to find out how to best prepare your home before the holidays? Simply follow Candy’s tips…

  • To keep your home cool and protected from the sun (obviously without resorting to air conditioners), lower the blinds and close the windows. This way the temperature will remain constant and you will be able to re-enter the house without suffering from the heat.
  • Close the water supply. Sinks, washing machines and dishwashers do not require water while you are away from home and a leak may lead to unpleasant surprises on your return.
  • With the exception of the refrigerator, disconnect electrical appliances and other electronic devices (computers, TVs, stereos, etc.) from sockets.
  • Remove easily perishable or short-lived food from the refrigerator in advance; this will prevent food from going bad, spreading bad smells inside the appliance or in the home.

Nowadays there are many refrigerators designed to meet your needs. The Candy Bellò fridge, in particular, features a Holiday Mode that you can activate with Candy simply-Fi App. Going on holiday? Spending a long time away from home? No problem! With Bellò Holiday Modeyou can switch off the fridge and leave only the freezer running, saving energy in the home and restarting the refrigerator when you return home.
